An invitation to explore

How much are we actually perceiving?

You sense something in another person’s presence, but can’t quite name it. An emotion arises, and you wonder whether it’s yours. An image or bodily sensation catches your attention — then you second-guess it or brush it aside.

Perhaps you recognize these questions:

  • Is this intuition, or am I imagining it?
  • Am I sensing something about the other person, or bringing my own expectations into the moment?
  • When people say “trust your gut,” what am I actually listening for — and when can I trust it?

It can be frustrating to notice these subtle signals without knowing how to understand them. You may find yourself caught between dismissing what you sense and treating an impression as more certain than it is.

What if you had space to explore these experiences without needing to prove them — or explain them away?

Deep Dive into Subtle Attunement is a six-session experiential exploration of how we perceive, sense, and interpret information. Through guided practices, sensing experiments, and shared inquiry, we’ll explore how to distinguish direct experience from imagination, expectation, and projection.

No belief system to adopt. No pressure to get it right. A place to become more attentive to what you notice — and more discerning about what you make of it.

What you may take away

Practical skills for everyday life

The purpose of this Deep Dive isn’t simply to have unusual or interesting experiences. It’s to develop practical capacities you can use in daily life and keep refining long after our six sessions together.

Through sustained practice, you may find yourself:

Identifying and setting clearer boundaries.

Becoming clearer about your own preferences, limits, yeses, and noes, and noticing them sooner.

Hearing your inner guidance.

Learning how your own inner signals show up and how to give them attention without being ruled by them.

Telling what resources you and what needs attention.

Recognizing more quickly when something in your body, your day, or your surroundings is nourishing you, and when it is asking for care or a change.

Sensing your next steps.

Becoming more attuned to what feels aligned or not as you face decisions, and to the quieter signals about timing and direction in your life.

Perceiving other people more clearly.

Noticing what you pick up in someone’s presence, and checking those impressions rather than assuming they’re true.

Relating with more care and clarity.

Bringing steadier attention to your relationships, from family and close friends to colleagues and community.

Recognizing patterns in collective space.

Learning to sense the atmosphere of a room, group, or community, and to notice patterns that recur there.

Telling impression from interpretation.

Becoming better able to tell direct experience apart from imagination, expectation, projection, and interpretation.

The aim is not certainty about what you perceive, but a more sensitive, curious, and discerning relationship with your own experience.

How we’ll practice

A space to experiment, notice, and learn together

Each session brings together:

  • Guided meditation and awareness practices
  • Individual sensing experiments
  • Partner or triad explorations
  • Shared reflection and learning

Between sessions, you’ll be invited to try simple practices in everyday life and deepen the exploration in self-organizing triads.

We’ll work with a consistent, relatively small group so there is time to reflect and learn from one another.

  • No pressure to perform or produce a particular result.
  • Share only what feels appropriate to you.

Who this is for

You may find yourself at home here if…

  • You have a meditation, body-based, creative, or contemplative practice and want to explore perception more deeply.
  • You’ve had intuitive impressions you’d like to understand better, or you’re curious about experiences you usually overlook.
  • You’re willing to stay with uncertainty and questions that don’t resolve quickly.

Practitioners, facilitators, and teachers are welcome. This is a space for your own exploration, not a professional training or certification.

No particular belief is needed, and you don’t need prior experience with intuitive work, though some familiarity with meditation or other attention practices helps. Previous participation in the free Subtle Attunement Practice Group is welcome but not required. If this is new to you, you may like to join a free session first.

About your facilitator

Dasha Gaian

I’m a somatic and trauma-informed coach and group facilitator, and much of my work is rooted in contemplative practice, embodied awareness, and experiential inquiry.

I have led the Subtle Attunement Practice Group since 2023. Along the way we’ve experimented with various techniques for refining our sensing, tuning into bodily sensations, intuitive impressions, and relational experiences, with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

This Deep Dive grew out of those explorations and my wish to offer a more sustained space for practice: a chance to return to the same questions over time, notice what develops, and learn from one another.

In a participant’s words

One participant’s reflection after practicing together.

“Your skillful meditations, teachings, and holding of the space helped create a safe, warm, caring, fun, and creative container from which to dive deeply into subtle attunement. I could feel my and other group members’ growth in subtle attunement skills. It helped me to appreciate, on an experiential level, that I/We have inner capacities, including subtle attunement, that we sense at times (intuition) but are not conscious enough and not developed enough as a skill. Having an incredible container to explore and develop these skills has been invaluable. I am slowing down more, creating space, and utilizing my subtle attunement skills in my relationships and therapeutic work.”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior experience?
No. Some familiarity with meditation or other attention practices can be helpful, but curiosity and a willingness to experiment matter more.
Will we explore intuition and energy?
Yes, we may look at experiences that participants describe in these ways. We approach them as subjects for inquiry rather than assuming a particular explanation or mechanism.
Is the goal to develop psychic abilities?
No specific ability is promised. The emphasis is on developing attention, investigating perception, testing impressions when possible, and becoming more discerning.
Is this therapy or a healing program?
No. This is an educational and experiential exploration, not psychotherapy or treatment.
Is this a good time for me to join?
Perception practices can sometimes stir things up, and the sessions on the ancestral and collective layers may touch strong feelings. If you’re in an especially unsettled or difficult period, it may be better to wait until things feel steadier. You’re welcome to write to me with questions before deciding.
How is this different from the free Subtle Attunement Practice Group?
The free group is an open, ongoing space for practice. The Deep Dive follows a progressive six-session curriculum with a consistent group, more extended exercises, and support for practicing between meetings.
What if I’m unsure whether it’s for me?
You’re welcome to attend a free Subtle Attunement session first, or reach out with questions.
